Week 5 - MKTG 348 - AI Adoption (AI 7)



The next level in living with AI is to adopt AI.  Aside from just learning more about AI, start using AI tools and platforms.  If you can use AI, you are at the entry level of managing AI.  The companies that end up using AI will have a huge competitive advantage over the companies that don’t.  If you know how to use AI, you are also going to have a huge competitive advantage over the candidates applying for a job that don’t know how to use AI.  We need to start accepting AI as an economic and social reality.  While we might only see AI as digital assistants right now, is it silly to think everyone might have a self driving car in the future?  I’m sure the people that first experience upper classes owning a car never thought that they would be common reality for almost everyone.
 How much of an impact would AI have on the job market overall?  If you have already adapted, and learned as much as you can about AI for the time being, and you currently are adopting, it’s time to start looking at jobs that have longevity in the job market regarding AI.  Will it be your job to market AI software and technology to companies?  Will it be your job to help manage AI companies?  It all depends on where your passions lie and how you can connect these passion with the reality of an electric future.  AI doesn’t have to be scary, especially with looming automation.  In what ways can you use automation in your current position to become more efficient, yet stay an invaluable member of your company?  If you company doesn’t use AI at all, it is up to you to introduce it into your company.  Start will small tools, common tools, to help run a more efficient team, office, branch, or company.  Have you exceeded your own expectations at how well you can manage AI?  Read the next blog post regarding why writing the AI software is the best relationship with AI there is.
